SumCo Eco-Contracting, LLC provides full-service ecological contracting – from excavation and custom soils to revegetation and invasive species control. SumCo's scientists and project engineers team with owners, consultants and general contractors to ensure that the ecosystems we build provide the functions and values of natural systems. SumCo's principals have completed over 105 projects since 1999, creating and restoring over 270 acres of wetlands.
SumCo does not engage in wetland delineation, permitting or other wetland consulting, though we are happy to refer inquiries to firms that perform these services. We do welcome opportunities to work with consultants to provide input on design, feasibility and project costs.
"When dealing with SumCo, their attitude and flexibility is different. There's a high level of communication. They're willing to think along with us to best determine how to get things done. It's like they're part of our team."

SumCo Eco-Contracting was recently awarded the Eel River Headwaters Project by the Town of Plymouth, MA. This multi-faceted project will restore 1.25 miles of naturalized stream channel and floodplain; enhance 40 acres of freshwater wetlands, including 17,000 Atlantic White Cedar tree plantings; upgrade two road crossings with naturalized box culverts for flow and wildlife corridor improvements; and remove a 150-year old dam to restore fish passage.
